	The Hepatitis C virus has become an international epidemic. It is estimated that over 4 million people in the U.S. are carriers of this virus and that over 200 million are infected worldwide. Peter is one of the people who has been affected by this disease. Ironically, it was the challenge of this disease that set Peter on a course of recording his music, and sent him on a cross-country adventure that landed him in Nashville as a recording artist. Peter chronicles his story in a “speech with songs” he wrote to share his experience. The presentation is titled “Living Beyond Your Afflictions”. It begins with being diagnosed with a serious illness, accepting that illness and facing the challenge of drug therapy to combat disease. Then, it moves on to explore self discovery in personal strength, new levels of spiritual awareness, finding hope and learning to persevere.		The presentation is “sprinkled” with poignant songs written by Peter that convey the subject matter and carry the listeners on a thought provoking, yet comfortable journey. Peter's focus is to help people come to terms with the illness they have, the challenges they must face, and to show that they, too, can live a life of endless possibilities.
