Hello All,

I'm still here in Nashville intent on making some noise with my music, but a reality check forced me to get a job as I pursue this musical endeavor. There's an old joke in Hollywood. When someone tell's you they are an actor you ask, "At what restaurant?" The same is true in Nashville of a songwriter. So, I am waiting tables at a nice restaurant called The Green Hills Grille to pay the bills.

The sampler CD I will be on with Wild Oats Records is scheduled for release about August 10. I will have four songs on this CD along with three other songwriters. You will be able to get this CD on the Wild Oats Records Website www.wildoatsrecords.com. Go to the site and click on the singer/songwriter series to see more.

I've been working on a number of new songs, so I will be going back into the studio next month to begin work on my 2nd full length CD. We hope to have it ready for release later this year. I'm looking forward to it. There is such an excitement when in the studio, deciding how to build on a song, discovering what musical direction it needs to take. That's where an excellent producer and great mucisians come in. I liken it to being a carpenter. I "frame" the song, having built the lyrics, melody and guitar harmony. Then the "finish carpenters", (musicians), come in and lend their magic, taking each song to its' own creative home. It's a wonderful feeling when you look at (hear) the finished product and know it was built by and with people you trust.

I haven't written in a while because I've kind of been in limbo here as we wait for the release of the sampler CD. Hopefully that will be the start of a movement to bigger and better things.

Thank you so much for your support. I hope this note finds you well.

Peter
